Yang (1984) – gravel

The Yang (1984) formula for gravel1 is similar to the formula for sand, but with different coefficients in the A- and B-terms:

\[ A = 6.681 - 0.633\ \log_{10}\left( \frac{w_{s}d}{\nu} \right) - 4.816\ \log_{10}\left( \frac{u_{f}}{w_{s}} \right) \]

Equation: Coefficient A in the Yang gravel formula.

\[ B = 2.784 - 0.305\ \log_{10}\left( \frac{w_{s}d}{\nu} \right) - 0.282\ \log_{10}\left( \frac{u_{f}}{w_{s}} \right) \]

Equation: Coefficient B in the Yang gravel formula.
